"Thank you so much for capturing our wedding day better than we could have ever imagined. We met you as a photographer and now we consider you to be a good friend. We had so much fun on our engagement shoot and you completed our perfect day. You made us feel so at ease and comfortable and our photos will always be the perfect memory of our big day. Thank you! xxx "
As a wedding photographer I have a real love of city weddings. Although I've been lucky enough to photograph at some stunning locations around the UK, there is something about a city that I feel particularly at home with. Whether it's the overlapping varied architecture, the dramatic, contrasting light or the real buzz of energy that a city and its streets bring, I'm not sure.
So when Rey and Jack asked me to photograph their wedding in London, right on my doorstep, I couldn't have been more excited.
Their wedding took place on a mild, autumn day with the occasional break through of sunlight. This stylish, creative pair were so much fun to be around. When I first met them both, and with Jack being a graphic designer, I knew a lot of personal details and thought would go into their big day.
But looking beyond that attention to detail, what struck me most was the fact that the day was centred around their love for each other, their love of travel and their future plans together.
From the moment James (my husband and sometimes second shooter) and I hung around with Rey and Jack for their engagement shoot, they let us into their lives and treated us like friends and ultimately guests at their wedding.
